Grace in Motion

Episode 155

Let’s get real—life is messy, and for many of us, it feels like we’re constantly in motion, trying to spin all the plates. From work to home, it seems like there’s no break in sight. But what if I told you that true rest isn't about finding more time, but about trusting God’s divine plan? In today’s episode of Rise & Shine with Celeste, we’re diving deep into how we can release control and let God’s automation take over, allowing us to experience real rest, even in our busiest seasons.

As I’ve been reflecting on Psalm 139 and God’s systems, I’ve realized that His version of "automation" looks nothing like the world’s. It’s organic, free-flowing, and so much better than our rigid, works-based ways. Let’s unpack this together.

Key Takeaways from “Grace in Motion”:

  1. God’s systems are set in motion – He’s designed creation to grow, move, and flourish without our constant input. Just like the sun rises and sets each day, He has a plan for our lives that we don’t need to micromanage.

  2. Trust is a muscle – Building trust in God’s plan takes time, but as we practice surrender, we strengthen our spiritual resilience.

  3. Automation doesn’t mean inaction – Relinquishing control doesn’t mean sitting idle. It means working with God, not for Him, and trusting His guidance in every pivot.

  4. Rest is a gift, not a reward – True rest comes from God. We don’t need to earn it by completing our to-do lists.

What It Means to Trust God’s Divine Automation

In the world’s view, automation means systems, spreadsheets, and rigid processes. But God’s version of automation is a whole lot more organic. Think about it—just like a cotton plant grows in the fields without us constantly hovering over it, God has already set things in motion for us. We can trust that His systems work, even when they don’t look like what we’re used to. This realization was such a freeing moment for me!

So often, we try to control every little aspect of our lives, believing we know better. I’ve been there—exhausted, worn out, and completely overwhelmed by my own efforts. But God doesn’t call us to control. He calls us to trust. His word says in Psalm 139 that His thoughts toward us outnumber the grains of sand on every shore. Think about that—He cherishes us constantly in His every thought. When we truly grasp that, it becomes easier to let go of control and allow God’s grace to guide us.

Building the Muscle of Trust

I know that trusting God’s plan is easier said than done. But just like any muscle, trust has to be built over time. We’re talking about daily, faithful obedience—even in the mundane, even when it feels like nothing’s happening. I’ve learned to take small steps, building that muscle memory of trust. Each time God asks me to pivot, I know He’s got something bigger and better in store.

One example is in my business—I've experienced breakthroughs when I’ve released control and stopped forcing things to happen. When I work with God, aligning my actions with His divine automation, things start to flow in ways I couldn’t have imagined. And here’s the kicker: it’s not just about business. This applies to every part of life—relationships, personal growth, even rest.

Why Surrender Leads to True Rest

Here’s the thing—rest isn’t something we have to earn. I used to think that I had to hustle and grind before I could truly relax, but God’s rest is different. It’s a gift, and it’s always available when we’re willing to surrender our need for control. This has been a huge mindset shift for me, and I believe it’s one we all need to embrace.

By trusting God’s timing, His systems, and His automation, we can find rest even in our busiest seasons. No more running ourselves into the ground, trying to make everything happen on our own. God’s got this, and when we step back and let Him take the lead, we get to experience the fruit of His labor. And that, my friends, is where true rest lies.
