Welcome to the Healing Journey
Let’s get real—you know how life can feel overwhelming sometimes, like carrying the weight of our struggles and the pressure to figure it all out on our own? Trust me, I've been there.
It’s like life hands you a dumpster full of hidden mess and tells you to deal with it. For the longest time, I thought I had to clean up my act before letting God in. But here's the truth—He wants in on that mess.
Back in February 2020, I stumbled upon Psalm 139, but it took nearly five years for its significance to truly resonate with me. The process of allowing God to search and purify my heart has genuinely been transformative, leading me into what I now call my "healing era."
Key Takeaways
Surrender and Trust in God: Trust God to do the searching and cleansing of your heart; your role is to surrender.
Healing and Transformation: Embrace this healing era by accepting God’s guidance and love to transform your life inside out.
Overcoming Shame and Self-Reliance: Let go of self-reliance and the burden of self-cleansing before approaching God.
Divine Purpose and Calling: Realize you were made with a divine purpose and calling, and align with God’s plan.
Community and Validation: Find peace in seeking God’s validation rather than others, embracing personal growth within a supportive community.
Discovering Psalm 139: Unveiling My Heart
I distinctly remember discovering Psalm 139 in February 2020. At that moment, it was like a tiny flicker of understanding sparked in my heart, forming the beginning of my personal growth journey.
The journey to fully grasp its magnitude took nearly five years.
Reflecting on those years, I cherish every revelation and breakthrough, such as the realization that God invites me to let Him into every hidden part of my heart, facilitating faith and healing.
It’s a surrender to His searching gaze, enhancing spiritual reflection, and letting Him uncover and purify what is hidden, without fear or shame. The relief and joy of surrendering to God’s will is beyond words.
As I stepped aside and let Him take control, I felt a lightness I hadn’t known before—joy and relief as He cleansed and transformed my heart, enabling mental health and resilience.
Breaking Free from Self-Reliance
In my quest for self-reliance, I found myself entangled in shame and pressure, striving to clean my heart before seeking God’s presence.
Breaking free from this nearly broke me, as I constantly sought validation from others instead of God.
This journey toward His love began by acknowledging the need to stop relying on my own understanding, leaning into His grace. It’s not about being a “perfect” offering to God but being willing like putty in His hands, allowing obedience, surrender, and submission to become acts of worship done out of love.
Following the Call: Visions of Purpose
Even as a child, I had a vision—a calling to write a book and speak about God.
For years, it seemed unclear how this vision would come to fruition.
But today, I see the pieces falling into place, aligning with my divine purpose and calling. With genuine excitement, I venture forward with the supportive community around me, continuously witnessing God’s hand aligning my daily activities with my purpose and calling.
This journey is more than just personal growth; it's a celebration of community, like rejoicing in life's milestones, such as welcoming a grandchild, which amplifies the collective joy shared with those around me.
Reflecting, Surrendering, Trusting
Today, I want to encourage you to lay it all at the feet of Jesus.
Take a moment to pray Psalm 139: 23-24 over yourself and open those hidden places to God’s gaze. He is waiting to flood your life with love, joy, and transformation.
Remember, it’s not up to you to get clean before approaching Him but trusting that His intentions and healing are pure and good.
Allow His light to illuminate your path, and walk boldly into the future He has lovingly prepared for you, knowing that His promises are unfailingly true.
